Supplies:
· 5 pieces of patterned paper (I used the Lost & Found Collection from My Mind’s Eye)
· Paper Trimmer
· Scissors
· Adhesive
· Dimensionals
· 1 ¼ circle punch
· Lil’ Lolita Stamp
· StazOn
· Distress Inks
· Ribbons, Twill
· Flowers
· Optional: Stickles, machine stitching
Procedure:
(Note: all sizes are given in inches- in.)
1. Using the paper trimmer, cut papers to the following sizes:
· 8” x 4”
· 6 ¾” x 3 ¼”
· 4” x 3 ½”
· 2 ¼” x 1 ½”
· 2 ¼” x 3”
2. Grab the piece of paper that measures 6 ¾” x 3 ¼” and with the circle punch, punch half circle in the top middle (see pic). Using your Distress Inks, distress all edges of the paper (I used Antique Linen). I also distressed the other papers as well.
3. Now adhere it on top of paper that measures 8” x 4”. For these purposes, instead of adhesive, I machine stitched it all the way around except on top, since this is going to be the opening for the bookmark/tag pocket.
4. Align paper that measures 4” x 3 ½” on top, at aproximately 1” above the bottom (see pic). If desired, machine stitch on both sides, but NEVER on top nor at the bottom ;-)
5. Now fold paper 2 ¼” x 1 ½” in half, add adhesive to one folded side (the one that goes on the back of the holder), and adhere it to the left side of the holder. Do the same thing with paper 2 ¼” x 3”, but adhere it on the right side. Adhere the ribbons.
The folds open up to show whatever message you want to add to the holder ;-)
6. Now stamp and color your Lil’ Lolita. I used Distress Inks to color her and added Stickles for funky look ;-) Once dry, adhere it to the holder using dimensionals. Finish your holder using flowers and any other embellishment that you like.
