Changes at Tickled Pink Stamps...Updates, New Girls, Challenges, Peek Even...

Well there are a few changes coming to Tickled Pink Stamps, some are trial and some are permanent. On my holidays I had a lot to think about. So I may a well dive right in right?

First off we have a NEW girl to the team! The gorgeous Lizzie took up my offer to come and a join the Pink Ladies. I could not had been happier as I just love this chick! She makes me laugh every time we chat and she has such a bubbly personality that just makes you feel happy even when your feeling tired, sad or grey, basically this girl beings the sunshine with her....

She will be joining us for our previews starting 7th February and already she has blown me away....

DIGITAL : When you read that title I bet you all think the opposite to what I am about to say. But after thinking about this all holidays and talking it over I have decided to go DIGITAL ONLY.... I know your all like WHA........ Isn't Kellie a rubber girl? Yes, yes I am. But digital is becoming the main selling point recently. And I am noticing the difference between rubber and digital sales a lot lately. MIND you this is where the trial and error comes in. If in 3 months or so time I get many requests for rubber I will look at it again. Although I have had this store for a while now, times and things change and I am still trying to figure out the right and best thing to do all the time. When will this start? The next release in February. Does this mean we will not see anymore rubber at all? Never say never *wink*

RUBBER : What about the rubber in store now? All rubber will be removed from the store this coming week. A huge overhaul and stock take will be made and then once I have everything in a line, it will be back till all sold out. Often when cancelled orders are made I slack off and do not add the stock back and this is where the stock take is a must. I was meant to get to it over the holidays and done it quickly but was busy out in the summer sun with hubby and the girls. Now they are back at school this week (FRIDAY I might add, silly huh?!) I will finally have some order in my time and I wont go as far as to say organisation, haha....

CHALLENGES : After February the Tickled Pink Stamps Challenges will be closing :( This was not a easy decision to make, far from it. I had been tossing up about it for some time and then when I got an email from my Coordinator Corry, that she is stepping down I took it as a sign. Corry was amazing in everything she done for me and I would be LOST without her, I really would had been. While it's not till the end of Feb all the girls are staying on and I can not thank them enough for staying by my side and the support is amazing. A HUGE thank you to all the challenge ladies...

LEAVING : I wont add any sad goodbyes JUST yet as these two girls MAY still join us in the previews coming soon. But we will have two girls leaving us in February and I am so sad to see them go. Eulanda has been offered and amazing opportunity over at the NEW online magazine Designed to Color! A HUGE congratulations Eulanda. The amazingly talented Tracy will also be stepping down and I will really miss seeing her talent and gorgeous cards each month that I am sure inspired you all.

Favourites from 2011.... With a VERY Sad Farewell.........

Hello there Pink Fans,

Because I pushed the preview and release date back this post is now a little later than I had planned. I wanted to do a looking back through the 2011 releases and a card or project from each of the Pink Ladies from one of the months from 2011. I have loved getting to know this amazing girl, we have so much in common, it's a pity about the sea between us. Hello there Tickled Pink Followers,

Did you all have an amazing Christmas and New Year? We are still on holidays here in Australia are we are until around the first week of February, not hubby but, he's back in a week and a bit, which is sad........ He only takes public holidays off being self employed and I just love the Christmas break and having him home with us. The girls got spoilt from Santa, us and family and we not long got back from a camping trip where they had an absolute BALL.... I am not a camping girl myself but have to admit I did have fun.

So a winner that is terribly late and I am so sorry for this, with the Christmas rush this completely slipped my mind...

Well last day of school today! Good Morning Everyone,

How are we all going? Getting EXCITED?! We had my daughter Kira's graduation last night she is heading to highschool next year.............{pale face} lol! Was not ready for this, but I think she is with her pre-teen thing going on haha! She looked amazing and so grown up. Apparently all the girls had to dress up, now back in my days, YES I just said that haha! We just wore shorts and a t-shirt I am pretty sure. How times have changed huh?!

A Few Pink Goodbyes and Tickled Pink Stamps News...

We have a few a goodbyes at the end of this year. It's never easy when someone leaves even known you still chat to them via email and follow their blog and what not and some even via phone. It's always strange for a while not having them about anymore. We are saying a sad goodbye to Pink Ladies Emma and Fran. And we are also saying a very sad goodbye to talented Pinkette member Anita.

The NEWS at Tickled Pink Stamps

I just wanted to give you a little update on the going ons here at Tickled Pink Stamps.

- The Tickled Pink Stamps STORE will be closed from the 16th of December 2011 till 12th of January 2012. Just in time for the NEW release in January. DIGITAL - I will however have digital listed through out this time. But rubber will not be available till January. WHY? You might be asking? I like to do a stock take and be 110% I have the stock all accounted for. Often when I get non payment for orders I only recently (last week) learnt the return stock button on my store, but till last week the stock was not counted for. This will help me know what to order and not order.

- As of now the pink ladies are having a well earned break. They will be back again on the 7th for a NEW release that you will not want to miss. I will start showing peeks in the new year, or before hand if I can't help myself...

- The Pink Challenge Ladies have their last challenge on the 16th of December and wont be back till the 6th January 2012. Giving you all plenty of time to join in with us and our challenge that is SO easy. Check it out HERE....

Well a BIG and HUGE thank you to all that took part in our design team call. This was not an easy task, as your all so talented and so many amazing styles, and each and everyone has that little something different that makes you stand out.

I would like to welcome out NEW members to the Tickled Pink Stamps team as our NEW Pink Ladies. Now let's get to know them all a little better shall we....

How long have you been card making for: I started card making after one of those late night infomercials for a Cricut in January of 2010 and picked up my first copic in May of 2010
How did you come across Stamping: I was reading a message board at provo craft and kept seeing these cards with really cool images that were colored. Up until that point, I thought a stamp was something that you put on an envelope prior to mailing. It still took me some time to figure out how they got the color in between the lines!!
Your very first stamp you bought: The first stamp I bought was Susan from Elisabeth Bell. I had no idea what to do with the stamp and how to color it, but I saw the stamp on someone's blog and thought it was so pretty.
Favourite colour to craft with: I don't have a favorite color, so I'm open to coloring or crafting with any available color
What do you use to colour: Copics, copics and more copics. Though I just purchased some Polychromos and Derwents and now in the process of figuring out what to do with them.
What's one thing your blogging friend may not know about you: I was Speech Pathologist who specialized in head and neck cancers, and a Hospital Administrator...talk about a world away from crafting! Oh and I'm scared to death of heights
What can you not go without while crafting: Perfect layers tool, ATG gun and copics
Do you use anything to help you craft: ipod with lots of country music...love me some Zac Brown Band and Toby Keith.

How long have you been card making for: I started originally with scrapbooking when my son was about 1 (which is roughly 6.5 years ago now)…I got one of my besties into it with me who booked us both in for our first card making class which was for Christmas cards about 5 years ago.
How did you come across Stamping: Through Stampin Up which my friend discovered in a magazine and I was strictly only Stampin Up stamps till about 2.5 years ago when I discovered that there was all these very cute stamps out there. I think my first non Stampin Up stamp was a Magnolia and then I started to use the web and discovered The Greeting Farm, Gorjuss Girls, CC Design and many more. I was so excited when I got my first Lil Lolita as they were from an Australian Company and from this amazing person I had been silently stalking in blogland called Kellie!!
Your very first stamp you bought: Was a Stampin Up stamp called Birthday Wishes I think….
Favourite colour to craft with: I love black and kraft as they are such a good base to start with.
What do you use to colour: Copics mainly these days. However when I first started colouring I used an aqua painter and my stampin up ink pads. I have prismicolours too which I occasionally bring out to play with.
What's one thing your blogging friend may not know about you: I am really shy and insecure. My hubby cant believe that I will talk to people in the blogland but go to a party and I can barely get two words out from nerves!
What can you not go without while crafting: A sketch! I often start a card using a sketch as a base to follow and get me started but by the end if often looks nothing like the sketch.
Do you use anything to help you craft: (as in coffee, food etc, music etc) I love to have my coffee when I am crafting and often I will listen to some tunes or watch/listen to my trash tv on the computer where I sit.

How did you come across Stamping: I decided to have a Stampin’ Up party at my house and just fell in love!
Your very first stamp you bought: I bought my first stamp about 13 years ago to use on a scrapbook page. It is a stamp of a shaggy looking dog by Greenhorn Valley Art Stamps and reminded me of my puppy at the time.
Favourite colour to craft with: I love Aqua Mist from PTI
What do you use to colour: Copics!
What's one thing your blogging friend may not know about you: I love reality t.v.
What can you not go without while crafting: Copics, Ribbon, Die Cuts, Foam Squares and of course an adorable image to color...

How did you come across Stamping: I discovered the world of  stamping while I was searching the net for ideas on making wedding invitations.

Your very first stamp you bought: I think it was a Whiff Of Joy stamp, Willow with strawberry basket.

Favourite colour to craft with: I love turquoise!

What do you use to colour: I use copics. Once I tried distress inks but that was a disaster =)

What's one thing your blogging friend may not know about you: I´m scared of airplanes and if my parent didn´t leave in another continent, I would never travel =D

What can you not go without while crafting: My cutting mat and my  Fiscars craft knife.

Do you use anything to help you craft: Oooo yes I do need  chocolate!!!!

WELL I told you I would be back with some exciting news! We are back with a 6 month guest DT call, YES for 6 months. We are looking for some crafty, fun loving people to join our team and share your love for Tickled Pink Stamps. Want to know all the details? The when, what and how? Well then here we go.

TERM FOR JANUARY - JUNE

This term will be for 6 months starting January 2012. Can you apply if you have been a guest, spotlight, design team member for Tickled Pink Stamps/Challenges or guest for the challenge side of things before? YES of course you can, we welcome all Tickled Pink Stamp fans to join in. Do you have to be a cardmaker? NO if you are a scrapbooker that uses images in your scrapbooking you are MORE than welcome to apply. Is this for Pinkette images as well? NO this will only apply to Lolita and Lad images. Can you enter more than once? YES you are more than welcome to apply more than once with another card or creation.

WHAT YOU ARE REQUIRED AND WHAT YOU GET

Each month we have a release and you are required to take part in this. In all we ask that you make 4 cards or creations per month. You can make 2-3 for previews and take part in one challenge we are sponsoring and then advertise.
You are NOT required to take part in the challenge sides of things. There was a little confusion last time we had a call, some people thought you had to take part here and on the challenge, this is NOT the case. Sometimes the Pink Ladies do join in only if there is a challenge on the same day as a preview.
You will receive all stamps usually 6 via digital and 4 in rubber and then if or when we have a sentiments release you will always get that in rubber as well making it 5 in rubber some months.

HOW DO YOU APPLY

Applying is easy. While for the following you do NOT have to have a Tickled Pink Stamps card, creation or scrapbook layout it is preferred. SO all I am asking is that you link up below to the linky, to either a favourite Tickled Pink Stamps card or creation you have made, can be an old post. You are welcome to make something NEW. I'm BACK and with a couple of Thank You notes.... And a PINK Lady Birthday!

Hi there Pink Fans,

Well as some of you might had seen on Facebook and my personal blog HERE... I am back. I got back in Saturday night after a 7 hour wait for the plane from Sydney to Melbourne, in fact I think I could had almost driven in that time, haha. Was a LONG wait and I was just so anxious and excited to get home... I am actually taking a little longer than I thought to get back on track, I don't know what I was thinking, having the day after I get home as a date to get to everything. Also being a long weekend I didn't take into account. So I do apologise but I am trying my hardest to get to as much as possible and hope to be up to date by the end of the week. The holiday was great, not sure amazing but an experience non the less. Here are a couple picks from Vanuatu, Lifou and Ilse of Pines....

Star card tutorial by Maya...

I wanted to show you how you make a star card. They will be perfect for the holidays. It’s really easy and I’ve made it even easier by making some templates for you to print so you won’t have to measure every triangle. This is what the card will (hopefully) look a bit like when it’s done.

So, let’s get started then. You’ll need a full 12”x12” cardstock to start with if you want to use my templates. You can make it smaller but then you need to make your own triangles. Also remember when you print the teplates to put the printer to A4 format and no scaling or the templates might become a bit large.

So take your 12x12 cardstock and make a pencil mark at 6” right across the paper dividing it in half. You will erase this mark later. This is the only tricky part. You are making a triangle where all the sides measure 6” out of the paper so take a ruler and start in one corner, angle the ruler against the middle line to put the 6” mark is on the line and the end of the ruler on the corner. Draw a line. Do the same thing from the opposite corner and you should have a perfect 6” sided triangle. I hope you understand how I made this, if not ask and I’ll try to make it clearer.

Now, after erasing the line down the middle of the triangle cut out the triangle and your card base is done. Make a mark at 4”, 6” and 8” on each side and score after this diagram.

Then fold the inner lines up and the outer lines down like in this picture.

Now to the fun part. Cut patterned papers to make the card pretty. Dont forget to put some on the back side of the card, it will show when you fold it. Here is the template for the patterned paper pieces.

This is how you should fold the card to keep it shut.

To put my stamped image on the card I attatched it to a ribbon and made a bow to keep it in place. Have fun making your star cards and I would love for you to post a comment with a url to your creations so that I can come visit and see waht you made. Also if something seems strange or if you don’t unerstand, please ask and I’ll try to explain better.

My Craft Room ~ Jeanette

Hi! This is Jeanette and I have the pleasure of being one of Tickled Pink Stamps Guest Designers, working on the fabulous Lil Lolitas and Lil Lads line.

Today, I have a short video to share with you that takes you on a tour of my crafting space. Two years ago, we renovated our home and I was lucky enough to get my very own room that I could design from scratch!

I do want to let you know that this is my room when it is tidy :) When I have a lot of projects going on, it can end up looking like it was hit by a hurricane. Then I clean it all up before I start another batch of creations!

Afternoon Pink People,

I just wanted to let you know that the Pink Ribbon Images and Sentiments are in store now at $1 and are a special edition release. All the profits are going straight from the store to Pink Ribbon Day at the end of October. My aim is to raise at least $100, you means 100 images. I think we can DO IT. OH did I mention that the sentiments were designed by Ann and ME, I am pretty excited by that.
